We recently had the pleasure of working with Worthing Dynamos, a local youth football club, as they upgraded their storage through the Football Foundation's container funding scheme. The project marked our first complete grant application and delivery, from application support to final installation, allowing us to help a local club enhance its facilities.
Project Overview
Worthing Dynamos had an old container they used for storing summer tournament equipment, but it was time for an upgrade. After finding out about the grant through the Football Foundation, the club reached out to ST Containers to get advice, a quote, and to discuss the logistics of getting the new container in where the incumbent item was. We were then able to support the club through the application, and most importantly manage the delivery and installation of their brand-new storage container.
Upon receiving the request, our team worked closely with Worthing Dynamos to make the process as smooth as possible. Will from ST Containers maintained communication throughout, updating the club on each stage of the project. When the container was ready for delivery, we arranged for the drop-off to coincide with the availability of the club’s volunteer team. Our experienced driver, Tony, handled the installation with care, professionally briefing the volunteers on health and safety and seamlessly positioning the new container. He also managed the removal of the old unit, leaving the club ready to store their equipment safely.

After receiving confirmation from the Football Foundation that our grant application had been successful, we contacted Will from ST Containers and the service we’ve received has been exceptional. Will kept us informed at all stages of the process and was able to arrange a suitable delivery day and time for when our army of volunteers were available to take delivery. Our delivery driver, Tony, was excellent and he contacted me via my mobile 15 minutes before he arrived, so we were fully prepared. Tony was very helpful and explained the health and safety instructions professionally before setting to work and lifting our new container into place and taking away our old container for disposal.
A Successful Outcome
This project was a win-win: Worthing Dynamos now has a secure, high-quality storage solution for their equipment, and we’re thrilled to have been a part of supporting local youth sports. We look forward to working with more clubs and helping them enhance their facilities through the Football Foundation grant.
